Raiders RB Josh Jacobs arrested for DUI after single-car accident

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed to KVVU-TV.

Jacobs, 22, was arrested near McCarran Airport in Las Vegas just hours after the Raiders won their regular-season finale against the Denver Broncos. Police responded to a report of a single-car accident at 4:42 a.m. and found Jacobs, who had sustained minor injuries from the collision. They suspected he was “impaired” and he was booked for driving under the influence after he was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

According to KVVU-TV, Jacobs was released from custody Monday and his next court date is set for March 8.

The Raiders released a statement to the Associated Press, saying they are aware of the incident but had no comment beyond the team “takes these matters seriously”:
