Quincy golf falls to Division 4 powerhouse Hillsdale Academy
COLDWATER – The Quincy Oriole golf team faced off with Division 4 powerhouse Hillsdale Academy on Wednesday, as the two teams took on the Coldwater Golf Course in non-conference dual meet action.
Hillsdale Academy won the event with a score of 166-202, however Quincy head coach Dave Bach was optimistic about how the day went.
“We picked up some valuable experience during the match,” Bach said. “This was a bounce back for us as we scored 20 strokes better today than during Monday night’s match.”
Quincy was led on the day by Grant Carter who carded a solid score of 48.
Rounding out the Oriole scoring was Brayon Estlow with a 50; Caleb Bostic with a 51; Keegan Neely with a 53; Isabelle Neely with a 58; and Hunter Scheidler with a 66.
Hillsdale Academy was led by Coldwater native Rykert Frisinger who carded a phenomenal score of 37, followed by Ridley Fast with a 41, and Quincy native Lincoln Knirk who fired off a 44.

Quincy’s junior varsity team was led on the day by Brydan Wible who carded the best score of any Oriole golfer on the day, finishing with a 46.
Quincy golf is back in action Thursday at the Coldwater Invitational followed by the third Big 8 jamboree of the season next Wednesday at Burr Oak.
