PV moves slowly into new facility

Oct. 14—ANDOVER TOWNSHIP — The Pymatuning Valley Area Local Schools administrative team has moved into new offices and the transportation department is on the way, said PVLS Superintendent Chris Edison.

The multi-purpose structure will also house a daycare center by the end of the year of all goes well.

The building is located northwest of the Pymatuning Valley Middle School. Edison said it has been great to get the administrative office staff back together after they were spread out over several buildings.

"It is nice to be together for those discussions that need to occur in private," Edison said.

He said the transportation department workers are moving to the new building, but there has been no hurry.

Edison said there is a lot of equipment to be moved, but the building will provide a place for bus maintenance. Staff members recently had the opportunity to tour the facility.

The daycare center opening is on the horizon, Edison said. He said the daycare will be administrated with the help of the Ashtabula County YMCA.

"Hoping to have doors open after Christmas," Edison said.
