Priceville girls roll into 4A championship game

Feb. 28—BIRMINGHAM — The Priceville girls basketball team rolled past UMS-Wright 56-36 this afternoon in the Class 4A semifinals at Legacy Arena to make Friday's state championship game.

The Bulldogs will play for the state title at 4 p.m. Friday against the winner of today's other semifinal between Prattville Christian and New Hope.

Priceville opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 22-7 lead before UMS-Wright called timeout with 5:43 to play before intermission.

Priceville led 29-14 at halftime and 44-22 after three quarters.

Leslie Hames led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Ashlyn Johnson had a team-high 10 rebounds.
