Preview: Rutgers baseball hosts Princeton in an interstate showdown
On Wednesday, Rutgers baseball (26-18, 8-7) will host the Princeton Tigers (21-17, 12-5 Big Ten) at Bainton Field in Piscataway, N.J. Princeton will travel to Bainton Field for a midweek game starting at 5 p.m.
The Scarlet Knights are coming off a three-game weekend series against Purdue, where Rutgers took one of three games from the Boilermakers. On the other hand, the Tigers are riding an eight-game winning streak, with victories over Colombia, Rider, Cornell, NJIT, and Yale.

According to the NCAA rating percentage index, the Tigers are ranked 96th, while the Scarlet Knights are ranked 54th.

Princeton right fielder Scott Bandura is the team’s leader in batting average and hits, with a .388 average and 57 hits. Princeton junior Kyle Vinci is the team leader in RBIs and home runs, with 57 and 17.
