Preseason 2024 All-Shore baseball teams. Who got selected?
The 2024 scholastic baseball season will get going in full blast once the rain that has hit the state this week clears out.
But, before that. it is time to unveil our Preseason All-Shore Teams - first, second and third teams. .
Much of the team was based on either who made one of the three All-Shore teams last season or the Coaches All-Division Team. There is also some subjective opinion involved.
Keep in mind, this is just a preseason team. The postseason All-Shore teams could look drastically different and will be based on performance this season.

Without further adieu, here are our All-Shore teams.

First Team
Pitchers
Chris Levonas, CBA, Sr.
The Skinny: The right-handed Levonas has signed with Wake Forest University. He was 5-1 and had 73 strikeouts, a 1.14 earned run average in 42 2/3 innings.
Declan Leary, Red Bank Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: A senior right-hander Leary began his season by pitching a complete-game three-hitter against Rumson-Fair Haven. It was his fourth win in the last three seasons over Rumson-Fair Haven. A United States Naval Academy recruit, Leary was 6-0 with a 1.04 ERA.
Jake Marciano, Donovan Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: A Virginia Tech recruit, Marciano was 3-2 with 62 strikeouts and a 3.57 ERA in 35 1/3 innings. He struck out 16 against Southern in the Ocean County Tournament championship game.
Brandon Falco, Matawan, Sr.
The Skinny: Falco had 83 strikeouts, a 1.79 ERA in 58 2/3 innings and went 5-4. He has signed with NJIT.
Catchers
Jake Howlett, Wall, Sr.
The Skinny: Howlett, who has signed with Monmouth University, had eight home runs, 31 RBI and hit .427 in 2023.
Andrew Parisi, Ranney, Jr.
The Skinny: Parisi hit .492 with two home runs and 16 RBI at Rutgers Prep in 2023.
First Base
Ryan Costello, Ranney, Sr.
The Skinny: Costello had four homers, 18 RBI, the game-winning hit in bottom of the seventh in the Panthers' 6-5 win over Red Bank Catholic in the Monmouth County Tournament championship game and hit .358. He has signed with LSU.
Infield
Sean Griggs, Red Bank Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: A University of Alabama recruit, Griggs, a third baseman, batted .396 and scored 26 runs.
Joe Maier, Donovan Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: A shortstop and a Felician University recruit, Maier hit .358 with three homers and scored 26 runs.
Jack Tiernan, St. Rose, Sr.
The Skinny: A third baseman and shortstop, Tiernan had 25 RBI, seven doubles and hit .451.
Outfield
Nicco Maribo, Brick Memorial, Sr.
The Skinny: Maribo had 37 hits, 11 doubles, stole 17 bases, scored 29 runs and hit .425.
Dylan Briggs, Middletown North, Sr.
The Skinny: Briggs was one of the key players in Middletown North's drive to its second straight Central Group 3 championship. He hit .461 with 17 RBI.
Jack Riva, Rumson-Fair Haven, Sr.
The Skinny: Riva had 21 RBI and two home runs and hit .388 as he helped Rumson-Fair Haven advance to the NJSIAA Group 2 championship game.
Designated Hitter
Dylan Passo, Red Bank Catholic, Jr.
Passo, a Notre Dame-recruit, had three home runs and 21 RBI. This year, he is making the move to first base.
Utility Player
Brady Lesiak, Southern, Sr.
The Skinny: A right-handed pitcher/third baseman, Lesiak was a key player in Southern's run to a share of the Shore Conference Class A South championship with Jackson Memorial and Brick Memorial. He hit .407 with 26 RBI and was 6-0 with 62 strikeouts and a 1.93 ERA in 50 2/3 innings.
Second Team
Pitchers
Phil Kramer, Raritan, Sr.
The Skinny: A left-hander, Kramer had a 1.39 ERA in 45 1/3 innings and went 6-1.
Jackson Redmond, Freehold Township, Soph.
The Skinny: The right-handed Redmond is receiving interest from Division 1 schools. He struck out 43 in 44 innings.
Mason Christopher, Middletown South, Sr.
The Skinny: The left-handed Christopher, who is a Seton Hall University recruit, went 4-4 with 51 strikeouts.
James Hare, Ranney, Sr.
The Skinny: A Rutgers University recruit, Hare struck out 34 and had a 1.94 ERA in 21 2/3 innings. He will likely become one of Ranney's main pitchers due to the graduation of much of last year's staff.
Catchers
E.J. Stefanelli, Shore, Sr.
The Skinny: Stefanelli batted .375 with five home runs and 26 RBI on 26 hits.
Cristian Soto, Central, Sr.
The Skinny: A four-year starter and a Lafayette recruit, Soto hit .368 with 15 RBI.
First Base
Michael McCormack, St. John Vianney, Jr.
The Skinny: McCormack hit .375 with five homers and 31 RBI on 24 hits.
Infield
Tyler Garbooshian, Brick Memorial, Soph.
The Skinny: A Rutgers University recruit since for over a year, Garbooshian hit .340 with 14 RBI.
Mike Avino, Freehold Township, Sr.
The Skinny: A shortstop and a three-year starter, Avino had 20 RBI.
Ben Robinson, Ocean, Jr.
The Skinny: An NJIT recruit, Robinson had 20 RBI and batted .322 with two home runs.
Outfield
Matt Brunner, Red Bank Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: Brunner has moved from the No. 6 to No. 2 in the Caseys' batting order. He had 28 RBI in 2023.
Curtis Chropuvka, Ranney, Jr.
The Skinny: A Lafayette recruit, Chropuvka hit .378 with 15 RBI.
Tyler Levine, Donovan Catholic, Jr.
A second baseman, Levine hit .403, scored 27 runs and had 22 RBI.
Utility Players
Zach Hampton, Middletown North, Jr.
The Skinny: Hampton, a key contributor since he was a freshman and a first baseman/third baseman/pitcher, batted .403 with 19 RBI and scored 23 runs.
Bryson Kirby, Point Pleasant Borough, Sr.
The Skinny: Kirby, a pitcher and designated hitter, struck out 72 in 38 1/3 innings and was 4-2. He also batted .397 with three home runs and 16 RBI.
Third Team
Pitchers
Nick Garbooshian, Brick Memorial, Sr.
The Skinny: The right-handed Garbooshian was 6-2 with 54 strikeouts and a 2.81 ERA in 49 2/3 innings.
Andrew Gendi, Matawan, Sr.
The Skinny: Gendi went 3-2 and had a 2.41 ERA and struck out 60 in 49 1/3 innings. He is a Felician University recruit.
Roger Dreher, Southern, Sr.
The Skinny: A right-hander Dreher struck out 57 and went 4-4 with a 3.34 ERA.
Tommy Kowaliwskyj, Ocean, Jr.
The Skinny: A right-hander, Kowaliwskyj struck out 42 in 34 innings and went 5-0 with a 1.03 ERA.
Catchers
Danny Tsimbinos, CBA, Jr.
The Skinny: Tsimbinos had 21 RBI with two homers and hit .307.
Nate Clayton, Point Pleasant Beach
The Skinny: In his fourth season as a starter, Clayton had 28 RBI and hit .368 with two home runs in 2023.
First Base
Anthony Crudo, St. Rose, Sr.
The Skinny: Crudo had 18 RBI and hit .381 with six doubles.
Infield
Matt Ferrara, Toms River East, Jr.
The Skinny: Ferrara battled 397 with eight doubles.
Dan Lubach, Point Pleasant Beach, Soph
The Skinny: Lubach hit .463 with six home runs and 31 RBI.
Max Dantoni, Red Bank Catholic, Sr.
The Skinny: Dantoni, a Rutgers recruit, has moved into the leadoff spot in the order after he had 14 RBI from the No. 9 slot in 2023.
Jake Clayton, Point Pleasant Borough, Frosh.
The Skinny: Word is baseball might be the best sport for Clayton, who was the NJSIAA eighth-place finisher at 157 pounds this past winter in wrestling and a contributor to Point Pleasant Borough High School's football team that advanced to the NJSIAA Central Group 2 championship game.
Outfield
Evan Booth, Monmouth, Sr.
The Skinny: Booth batted .355 with two home runs and 14 RBI.
Sean Hart, Matawan, Sr.
The Skinny: Hart hit .368 with 15 RBI and stole 12 bases.
Lou D'Alessio, Middletown South, Sr.
The Skinny: D'Alessio had 10 doubles in 2023.
Designated Hitter
Braden Walsh, Howell, Sr.
Walsh, a catcher, had four homers, 19 RBI and hit .367
Parker Shenman, Rumson-Fair Haven, Jr.
Shenman was the designated hitter in the Bulldogs' season-opening 7-2 defeat to Red Bank Catholic. He had 18 RBI and batted .337 with 11 extra base hits (two home runs, six doubles and three triples).
Utility Player
Tommy Diffley, Colts Neck, Sr.
The Skinny: A left-handed pitcher and first baseman, Diffley hit .357 with 13 RBI and had 43 strikeouts and a 2.58 ERA in 43 1/3 innings. He struck out 11 and allowed one hit 4 2/3 innings and had a hit, an RBI and scored two runs in the Cougars' 9-8 season-opening defeat to Brighton (N.Y.).
