BOYS BASKETBALL
Norwayne 59, Triway 50 (Steve Smith Classic)
Norwayne showcased its depth in the marquee matchup of the Steve Smith Classic at Orrville, with eight players finding the scoring column in a balanced win.
Parker Metsker's all-around game proved to be a catalyst for the Bobcats, going for 11 points, 8 assists and six rebounds while Braden West led the team with 13 points. Tyson Hess (9), Beau Polen (8), Connor Preattle (6) and Braylon Arnold (6) all score six or more points as well as Norwayne outscored Triway 15-9 in the fourth to sweat out the win.
Cale Drown led Triway with 13 points while Brayden Holt added 12 and Drew Bishko scored nine.
