PREP ROUNDUP: Decatur boys get win over Prattville Christian

Dec. 29—GUNTERSVILLE — Chandler Moore and Wyatt Smith scored 12 points each as Decatur picked up a 53-51 win over Prattville Christian in boys basketball on Thursday.

Prattville Christian led 10-8 after one quarter before Decatur rallied to take a 25-22 lead into halftime. The Red Raiders led 38-37 after three quarters and held on for the win.

Tre Kirk added 10 points for Decatur (12-5) and Gary Willie scored nine points. Brady Roberson (21) and Cade Segars (20) each scored in double figures for Prattville Christian.

Falkville boys 56, Clements 52: Dawson Fowler scored 20 points to lead Falkville past Clements at the Ardmore Tournament on Thursday.

Cayden Butler had 12 points for the Blue Devils, while Eli Harris added 11 points. Cole Doss (16) and Brayden Duncan (11) each scored in double figures for Clements.

Tanner boys 62, Priceville 56: Sammy Holmes had 23 points, 12 rebounds and four assists for Priceville at the Calhoun Christmas Classic on Thursday.

Luke Hood had 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Bulldogs, while Carter Barnett added eight points.

Decatur boys 43, Jacksonville 37: Moore scored nine points to lead Decatur to a win on Wednesday.

Smith had six points for the Red Raiders, while Kirk, Willie and Kamron Gamble added six points each.

Danville boys 66, Elkmont 35: AJ Holladay poured in a game-high 24 points for Danville in a win on Wednesday.

Ki Boyd had 10 points for the Hawks and Avery Muhammad scored eight points. Deacon Grams led Elkmotn with seven points.

East Limestone boys 80, Deshler 62: Jordan Moore led four East Limestone players in double figures with 24 points and nine rebounds as the Indians picked up a win in the semifinals of the Bracy Invitational at Deshler on Wednesday.

Chandler Moore had 16 points for the Indians, while Zak Cain added 15 points and five rebounds. Braylen Gill scored 11 points.

East Limestone boys 79, Lexington 66: Moore scored 24 points for the Indians at the Bracy Invitational on Wednesday.

Cain had 17 points for East Limestone, while Jeb Blanton had 12 points. Charles Burgess and Riley Groce scored nine points each.

Madison County boys 50, Falkville 48: Fowler led Falkville with 17 points in a game played at the Ardmore Tournament on Wednesday.

Butler and Logan had eight points each for the Blue Devils, while Harris added seven points.

Falkville boys 62, Ardmore 51: Logan Fowler scored 20 points for Falkville against host Ardmore on Wednesday.

Dawson Fowler had 17 points for Falkville, while Harris and Butler added 10 points each. Devlin Jarrett had a game-high 21 points for Ardmore.

Fairview boys 58, Brewer 48: Jackson Dunn had 14 points to lead Brewer at the Randolph Christmas Tournament on Wednesday.

Cason Oden had 13 points for the Patriots, who trailed 29-21 at the half.

East Limestone boys 78, Carbon Hill 45: Cain had 16 points and seven rebounds as East Limestone opened the Bracy Invitational at Deshler with a win on Tuesday.

Gill, Burgess, Moore and Blanton added 11 points each for the Indians.

West Limestone boys 47, Hamilton 42: JT Winter scored a game-high 24 points to lead West Limestone at the Bracy Invitational at Deshler on Tuesday.

Dawson Mewbourn added eight points for the Wildcats, who led 26-19 at halftime.

Lawrence County boys 66, Lauderdale County 55: Braylon Dame (20) and Zander Keepers (10) each scored in double figures for the Red Devils on Tuesday.

Austin girls 42, Athens 27: Elyse Davis and Claire Wright each scored 11 points for Austin as the Black Bears picked up a win at the Athens Border War on Thursday.

Austin (8-7) has now won three straight games.

Hartselle 44, Chelsea 38: Gracie Hill scored a game-high 24 points as Hartselle defeated Chelsea at the Athens Border War on Thursday.

Hannah Burks had nine points for the Tigers, who led 28-26 at halftime. Haley Trotter led Chelsea with 16 points.

West Morgan girls 52, Falkville 48: Jordyn Free led West Morgan with 17 points at the West Morgan Holiday Classic on Thursday.

Haniyah Standridge added 14 points for the Rebels, who led 26-20 at halftime.

Danville girls 52, Addison 24: Adily Alberti poured in 18 points to lead Danville on Thursday, while Ella Kate Tidwell finished with seven points and four rebounds.

Austin girls 47, Gulf Shores 41: Wright and Zyan Moore had nine points each for the Black Bears at the Athens Border War on Wednesday.

Decatur girls 70, West Limestone 45: Carlee Mitchell had a team-high 19 points for Decatur at the West Morgan Holiday Classic on Wednesday.

Jenny Mitchell scored 15 points for the Red Raiders, who led 28-19 at the half. Amiah Jackson finished with 11 points.

Raelee Campbell (24) and Anslee Weatherford (13) each scored in double figures for West Limestone.

West Morgan girls 45, Hanceville 22: Free poured in 22 points to lead West Morgan at the West Morgan Holiday Classic on Wednesday. Standridge scored 13 points.

Falkville girls 59, Phil Campbell 35: Abbey Grace Tomlin led three Falkville players in double figures with 19 points at the West Morgan Holiday Classic on Wednesday.

Ellie Cate Hill had 17 pints for the Blue Devils, while Kaitlyn Bullard added 13 points.

Clements girls 54, Dekalb County (Tenn.) 53: Leah Childress scored 16 points to lead Clements to a win on Wednesday.

TayTay Farrar had 20 points for the Colts and Josie Childress scored seven points.

Wilson girls 45, Danville 41: Alberti led Danville with 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals on Wednesday.

Madalyn McCreless had nine points for the Hawks, while Maddie Sherrill added eight points and three steals.
