It was an uplifting scene at Kuhio Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii, as community members took part in a paddle out organized by the nonprofit Na Kama Kai to honor those affected by the Maui Fire. At least 114 people are known to have died in the destructive blaze, with that harrowing number expected to rise as the aftermath of the deadliest wildfire in the U.S. in more than 100 years continues.
