Crestwood came up with several clutch plays in the seventh inning to top host Waterloo, 5-4, in a non-conference baseball game Friday afternoon.

In the top of the inning, Red Devils sophomore Wyatt Januska worked a two-out walk, junior Charlie Sommer got Januska to third with a single down the right-field line and Januska tore home on a wild pitch to score the go-ahead run.

The Vikings nearly knotted the score in the bottom of the inning when Kyle Werbeck beat out a grounder to second while the second-base runner tore home, but Red Devils first baseman Jake Eyerman sent a perfect throw to catcher Bobby Bradley, who got the tag down in time.

Sommer allowed just one run over four innings of relief to pick up the win, striking out seven.
