Portage HS scores | Feb. 20: Aurora senior diver Colten McCrae finishes fourth at state
Aurora senior Colten McCrae finished fourth in the Division II state diving competition at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton Tuesday morning.
An impressive 392.3 score was another big performance in Canton by McCrae, who placed third in the state last year. Sophomore teammate Zach Best, making his second straight trip to state, finished 21st with a 139.50.
Roosevelt sophomore Ethan Rodriguez finished 29th with a 109.30.
Boys Basketball
Mogadore 52, Akron Garfield 44
Down six after eight minutes, the Wildcats won each of the final three quarters en route to their 17th straight win.
Devin Graham led Mogadore (18-3) with 19 points while Layne Miller added 15 points and three 3-pointers.
Bristol 76, Garfield 39
Kaiden Kohler scored all of his game-high 26 points in the final three quarters to lift the Panthers to a nonleague victory.
Mikey Burbach (14 points), Jack Berry (12) and Jayden Miller (12) joined Kohler to give Bristol four players in double figures.
Garfield fell despite two 3-pointers apiece by Preston Gedeon and Eric Geddes.
Poland Seminary 38, Streetsboro 30
Held scoreless in the first quarter and down nine at the half, the Rockets rallied to within five points entering the fourth but couldn't complete the comeback. Jackson Gula and Ethan Laryea led Streetsboro with nine points apiece.
