Portage high school scores | Sept. 7: Delilah Rahe's four goals lift Field girls soccer

Delilah Rahe scored four goals to lift Field to a 6-1 victory over Ravenna in girls soccer Thursday evening. Rahe also had an assist for the Falcons (4-2-1, 3-1-0 Metro Athletic Conference), who also got a goal and an assist from Adriana Bright, a goal from Emma Norman and an assist from Savannah Rahe. Carlee Fafrak made eight saves in goal for Field, which outshot Ravenna 21-9. Natalie Clark had the lone Ravens goal.

Rootstown 3, Pymatuning Valley 1

Down one at the half, the Rovers rallied with three second-half goals. Sophia Opritza and Melanie Plecko had a goal and an assist apiece while Porter Smith added a goal and Hannah Hindel tacked on an assist. Natalie Opritza made seven saves in goal for Rootstown.

Volleyball

Southeast def. St. Thomas Aquinas, 25-19, 25-12, 25-14

Norah Truex and Skylar Werschey had 10 service points apiece, with Truex tallying five aces as well, to lead the Pirates to a Portage Trail Conference sweep.

Kylie Bailey and Leila Evans each added four kills.

Rootstown def. Warren JFK, 19-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-14

Nadia Lough (9 kills) and Brooklynn McIntyre (8 kills) wreaked havoc on the offensive end, guided by the sharp passing of Allison Strickland (16 assists). Shelbie Krieger, meanwhile, was a force from the service line (24 points, 5 aces) and at the net (4 blocks, 3 kills).

Lake Center def. Mogadore, 25-12, 20-25, 25-20, 25-13

The Tigers' Madison Zook tallied 11 kills, 10 digs and five aces in a Portage Trail Conference win over the Wildcats.

Madisyn Levengood and Mikenna Slayman added 15 assists apiece for Lake Center Christian.

Kenzington Miller led Mogadore with 19 digs and eight service points, while Alana Whitmore added 14 digs and 12 points. Meanwhile, Addie Gerring (7 kills) and Kendall Jones (8 kills) sparked the Wildcats attack.

Badger def. Windham, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18, 22-25, 15-8

The Bombers fell despite huge games from Briah Daniel (18 kills, 8 blocks), Angelina Jones (37 digs) and Quinn Justham (13 service points, 26 assists).

Boys soccer

Field 6, Ravenna 0

Alec Grimm scored two goals and Cedric Martin had a goal and an assist for the Falcons (6-1-1, 3-1-0 Metro Athletic Conference).

Mitchell Adams, Tyler Doubrava and Gavin Phillips added goals and Wyatt Rahe and Brayden Ronowski had assists for Field.

Caleb Brastine needed to make just two saves to record the shutout.
