Portage County high school scores | May 19: Aurora, Roosevelt, Garfield track qualify many

Among the top performances at the Division I Austintown District meet, Aurora senior Max Bailey captured the discus title with a throw of 146 feet, 4 inches.

Greenmen freshman Isabella Cicero also had a breakout performance with runner-up finishes in the 100 (12.87) and 400 meters (58.89).

Roosevelt got runner-up finishes from senior Lea Parham in the 100 hurdles and freshman Kaidyn Harris in the long jump. Parham was also third in the 300 hurdles, and Harris fourth in the 100.

At the Division III Cuyahoga Heights District meet, Garfield had two of the four regional qualifiers in the 400 as freshman Mandy Cardinal finished second (1:02.16) and junior Rylie Turner fourth (1:03.64), with both also participating in the G-Men's district runner-up 4x200 relay.

Garfield sophomore Hannah Kernig also impressed by qualifying in multiple field events, placing third in the high jump and fourth in the long jump.

These were just a few of the top Division I and Division III performances with Division II set for Saturday.
