Tulare County athlete of the week: El Diamante's Skyler Kestly
El Diamante softball player Skyler Kestly was voted by readers as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County high school athlete of the week.
In an online poll that closed on April 5, Kestly received 12,564 votes, or a 43.8% majority, of the 28,792 responses.
Kestly had three hits, two RBIs and a run in an eight-inning, 6-5 loss to Clovis North.

Karly Aguilar, softball, Golden West: Aguilar unleashed a home run and knocked in three runs as the Trailblazers defeated Lemoore 10-6.
Dominic Alvarado, baseball, Central Valley Christian: Alvarado hit the walk-off single to help the Cavaliers beat Sanger 4-3 in nine innings. CVC captured the Fowler Easter Classic championship.
Skyler Kestly, softball, El Diamante: Kestly had three hits, two RBIs and a run in an eight-inning, 6-5 loss to Clovis North.
Easton King, baseball, Tulare Western: King blasted two hits with three RBIs as the Mustangs topped Arvin 7-3.
Troy Loftin, baseball, El Diamante: Loftin smacked a triple and drove in three runs and scored another two as the Miners beat Kennedy 14-2.

Ceydie Pires, softball, Redwood: Pires, the winning pitcher, fired four scoreless with four strikeouts to help the Rangers beat Hanford 10-0.
Nate Ramirez, baseball, Redwood: The winning pitcher, Ramirez tossed three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings to lead the Rangers to a 4-3 victory over Liberty-Madera Ranchos.
Aidan Robertson, baseball, Exeter: Robertson hurled 12 strikeouts and gave up two hits and a pair of walks in a 2-0 win over South Bakersfield. The Monarchs won the Ron Robinson Classic black bracket championship.
Memo Rosales, baseball, Woodlake: Rosales drove in the game-winning run and threw eight strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over Cesar Chavez in eight innings.
Braelyn Serpa, softball, Mission Oak: Serpa launched three hits, including a double and triple, with two RBIs and four runs.
Gabby Terronez, softball, Tulare Union: Terronez had six strikeouts to deliver a 7-0 shutout win over Lindsay. She also added a hit, run and RBI.
Louie Torres, baseball, Porterville: Torres tossed 11 strikeouts in a complete two-hit gem to power the Panthers to the 40th annual Tulare/Visalia PRO-PT Invitational lower-division championship.
Nominations are based on information available to the Times-Delta.
All high school varsity players from Tulare County can be on the ballot. Nominations must be received for consideration by Monday morning following that week's games.
