Pick the LSJ high school athlete of the week for Feb. 19-24

Here is a look at the latest candidates in the running to be voted the LSJ high school athlete of the week winner.

Voting is unlimited and open until noon Wednesday to determine a winner, who will be featured in the LSJ.

Emma Cadwell, Holt girls bowling

The sophomore contributed to the Rams claiming a team regional title on Friday and then followed by qualifying for the singles state finals on Saturday. Cadwell finished third at the regional with a six-game score of 1,223, which included a high game of 226.

Levi Rigelman, Olivet boys bowling

The senior finished as a Division 3 singles regional champion over the weekend. Rigelman won the regional title by a pin and finished with a six-game total of 1,253. He had an average of 208.8 in his six games with a high of 233 that he bowled in his fourth and fifth games.

Aubrey Rogers, Morrice girls basketball

The senior and Spring Arbor commit helped the Orioles to a three wins last week, capping her week with a triple double that included 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals in a win over Burton Bendle on Friday. Rogers had 10 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals in a victory over Livingston Christian on Thursday and 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists against the International Academy of Flint on Tuesday.

Dominic Rose, DeWitt boys swimming

The senior helped the Panthers finish as the champion at the CAAC Blue meet. He won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:41.76 and 100 freestyle in 47.22 and was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay for DeWitt and the runner-up 400 freestyle relay.
