Phillies fans are buying tickets for NLCS games in Arizona but aren't going. Here's why.

How demoralizing were the Philadelphia Phillies victories in Games 1 and 2 of the National League Championship Series?

The Phillies' 5-3 victory in Game 1 and 10-0 shellacking in Game 2 seem to have squelched Diamondback fan's spirits or even willingness to see any of the games.

After-market ticket values for Game 3 dropped down to $15 on SeatGeek. The price is roughly a third of the $70 tickets were going for on the MLB website via Ticketmaster. Other after-market sites had prices as low as $9.

Philadelphia Phillies fans help out by buying NLCS tickets in Arizona

Since the ticket prices were so low, Philly fans decided to make sure Diamondback fans didn't have to deal with the NLCS misery anymore. In a move that seems to take spirit-breaking to the next level, Philadelphia fans started buying tickets not to attend the games, but rather make sure Diamondback fans couldn't.

Chase Field, the home of the Diamondbacks, won't be as loud as Citizens Bank Park and the Phillies have their fans to thank for it.

Of course, the Arizona Diamondbacks didn't appreciate the move.
