Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson calls Carson Wentz’s injury ‘nothing major’; Expects him to be ready for Washington in Week 1

Eagles fans were thrown into a frenzy over the weekend when star quarterback Carson Wentz sat out the team’s end of training camp scrimmage with what was described as a lower-body injury.

For a guy constantly fighting off the notion that he’s injury-prone, Wentz landing on the injury report brought back some of those feelings that make Eagles fans queasy when the topic of the franchise signal-caller possibly missing any more extended time due to injury.

On Tuesday, Doug Pederson calmed some of the fans worry telling the media during a zoom session that Wentz injury was minor and he’d be ready to face the Washington Football Team in less than two weeks.

Likely just a rest day, Wentz is the team’s franchise star and as the Eagles continue to figure out who’ll start at left tackle, placing him in the way of any unnecessary risk going forward would be counterproductive to the goals at hand.
