Pete Davidson and Colin Jost bought a Staten Island Ferry boat: report

What’s a king without a navy?

“King of Staten Island” star Pete Davidson and fellow “Saturday Night Live” cast member Colin Jost bought a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry vessel, New York magazine reported.

The two funnymen teamed up with comedy club owner Paul Italia to put up the $280,100 winning bid, the report said.

The group plans to turn the boat into an entertainment and event venue, according to the outlet. They’re still working to find a permanent dock for their new boatertainment center.

Both Davidson and Jost grew up on Staten Island and often rode the ferry. This particular boat was listed in “poor condition,” with the listing saying the ship was “decommissioned due to mechanical issues.” It also came with “numerous spare parts which are obsolete and not needed.” The ferry was sold “As Is and Where Is.”

Davidson and Jost have not said how they plan to physically take possession of the boat, but the listing notes that buyers are allowed to call in a shipping company for help.

NYC’s Department of Citywide Administrative Services actually tweeted about the sale and shot down guesses that Davidson was involved.

Evidently the DCAS social media person was not read in — but it’s no joke.
