Jerry Rashid needs your help.

The Eureka College baseball coach has lost a prize possession — the championship ring he won at Illinois Valley Central as coach of the school's 2006 Class A Illinois state champ.

The legendary coach earned the bling at IVC, leading the Grey Ghosts to the program's first-ever state title, a 40-2 record and finishing No. 40 in the final 2006 Baseball America High School Top 50 ranking.

He took to social media Saturday morning to lament about his absent ring.

"Sadly, I have lost my 2006 IVC state championship ring on Thursday," he posted on X.com, formerly Twitter. "Last known places were Eureka College or Sherman’s Appliance store. No monetary value but sentimental value."

"My name is on it so if you find it please contact me. Thank you!"

If you locate the ring and are unable to get ahold of Rashid, please use the contact info below.

Rashid has been a Peoria-area baseball coach for more than four decades. He has high school stops at Princeville, Bergan, Notre Dame and IVC and now has been Eureka College coach since 2017. He is fifth on the IHSA’s all-time wins list with a record of 808-456-1.
