Penn State vs. Michigan State basketball: TV and live stream info for Wednesday

Penn State opens its Big Ten schedule on Wednesday with a home game against Michigan State. The Spartans could be ripe for the picking for the Nittany Lions as Penn State is a rare favorite against the perennial Big Ten contender. Yes, a Michigan State team that celebrated a win earlier this season over Kentucky will be an underdog on the road against Penn State.

Michigan State has faced much stiffer competition than Penn State so far this season, but the Spartans have lost two straight games to Notre Dame and Northwestern as they look to bounce back against Penn State. Penn State is also looking for a rebound after losing its last game out in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Clemson.

Here is how to catch the action Wednesday evening in Happy Valley.

If you haven’t been paying attention this early on in the basketball season, then you may be surprised to see ESPN’s Basketball Power Index is heavily in favor of Penn State on its home court on Wednesday evening. But that is the case coming into the game.

It is not often Penn State is the favorite against Michigan State, but ESPN’s BPI gives Penn State a 70.5% chance of winning in the Bryce Jordan Center.
