Pearl football hires Neshoba Central coach Patrick Schoolar

Former Neshoba Central football coach Patrick Schoolar will take over the program at Pearl.

Schoolar was introduced Wednesday by the Leaders of the Pearl Public School District. Schoolar replaces Justin Hunter who announced his resignation two weeks ago.

"I'm extremely excited about the opportunity to work for the Pearl Public School District and to lead the football program," Schoolar said in a school release. "I believe this is one of the best districts to work in. The rich history and support are hard to match anywhere across the state."

Schoolar was hired at Neshoba Central in 2016, and in eight seasons had a combined record of 65-35. Neshoba played for the North State championship twice in 2019 and 2021 and has made the playoffs every year since 2018 under Schoolar.
