Patrick Mahomes clears concussion protocol after taking wicked hit

The Kansas City Chiefs were soundly beaten by the Tennessee Titans, 27-3, on Sunday.

All-World quarterback Patrick Mahomes had another rough game and took a brutal shot that saw him exit the game.

Andy Reid said that it was his decision to remove Mahomes from the game and the QB had cleared concussion protocol.

“As far as the injuries go, Pat (Mahomes) was in the concussion protocol,” Reid began. “He cleared it and then I decided not to put him back in.”

The good news is Mahomes did clear protocol. The Chiefs have fallen to 3-4 and there is much work to be done to fix the team that has been the AFC representative in the last two Super Bowls.
