Packers release Vince Young
When the Packers cut Graham Harrell, it appeared former first-round pick Vince Young had shored up the No. 2 QB job.
Not quite.
Young announced he was released by the Packers on Twitter Saturday morning, leaving him without a team for a yet another year.
“Thanks to the Packers for the opportunity. Great organization, great team, wonderful fans. Good luck this season,” Young wrote.
Young has had a rocky career since a successful rookie campaign with the Tennessee Titans. For his career, Young has completed 755 passes for 8,964 yards, 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.
