Packers take early lead over Bears on another Rodgers-to-Adams TD

For the 11th time this season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers found receiver Davante Adams for a touchdown.

The 12-yard touchdown connection gave the Packers an early 6-0 lead over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

On third down, Rodgers bought time against a three-man rush and found Adams, who completed a leaping catch in the end zone for the score. Mason Crosby missed the extra point.

Adams’ catch was the 500th of his NFL career.

Rodgers completed five of his first seven passes on the drive. The Packers also ran seven times for 37 yards.

The 14-play march covered 75 yards.

The Packers converted three third downs against the league’s No. 1 ranked third-down defense and scored a red zone touchdown against the league’s No. 1 ranked red-zone defense.

Allen Lazard caught an 8-yard pass on 3rd-and-7 to keep the drive moving.

The longest play on the drive was a 14-yard run by Aaron Jones.

Overall, the Packers gained seven first downs and had the football for seven minutes and 38 seconds.
