Packers 38, Bears 20: Game balls, highlights, best photos

The Green Bay Packers took down the Chicago Bears in the season opener on Sunday at Soldier Field, using three touchdown passes from Jordan Love to extend Green Bay’s winning streak over Chicago to nine games. In fact, Matt LaFleur still has never lost to the Bears since taking over as Packers coach in 2019.

The Aaron Rodgers era is over, but the Packers continued to enjoy decisive advantages at quarterback and along the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

The Packers never trailed and held leads of 24-6 and 38-14 in the second half.

After taking down the Bears in Week 1, the Packers will go back on the road to play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Atlanta beat the Carolina Panthers in the season opener.

RB Aaron Jones: 11 touches, 127 yards, two touchdowns. The Packers featured him on their opening drive of the game and the first two drives of the second half. Not surprisingly, the offense scored touchdowns on all three, including a pair of touchdowns from Jones (1-yard run, 35-yard catch) in the third quarter.

DL Devonte WyattThe 2022 first-round pick had a sack, which eventually forced a Bears punt, and he combined with Kenny Clark to strip Justin Fields and cause a turnover. Wyatt was a menacing force up front.

K Anders Carlson: The rookie made all five extra points and connected on a 52-yard field goal as time expired before the half.
