Pac-12 Network goes dark early as Arizona vs. California basketball broadcast goes off air
Pac-12 After Dark?
More like Pac-12 goes dark.
Media members and fans of the Arizona basketball team voiced their displeasure with the conference's television network, Pac-12 Network, on social media Thursday night when the broadcast of Arizona's game against California was not on the air late in the second half because of "technical difficulties."
Many people in Tucson lost coverage of the game with about five minutes remaining. Some were able to get it back in time for the very end of the game, a 91-65 win for the Wildcats over the Golden Bears.
Social media was not amused with the situation, with several people venting their frustration with the situation.

Social media sounded off on the Pac-12 Network
Walk-on Will Menaugh scores, and Oumar Ballo and others go absolutely NUTS on the bench.
You love to see it (and I actually saw it as Pac-12 Net has risen from the dead)— Michael Lev (@MichaelJLev) February 2, 2024
Thankfully not a close game with Pac-12 Networks having crapped out ... Arizona 81, Cal 57, 4:43 left

Pac-12 Network going out during the second half of the Arizona-Cal game is the most “Man, I got like a week of this job before I dip” thing ever.
And the network has great talent!
It’s sad but all I can do is chuckle because it’s kinda on brand for the conference.— Justin Spears (@JustinESports) February 2, 2024

Let’s review
The Pac-12 Network:
1) Loses the video feed during a live Arizona game.
2) Interviews a player at halftime of said Arizona game who hit a buzzer beater against Arizona a week ago on a 9 PM local tipoff game.
3) Has Zoom meetings for halftime shows.
4) Shows…— Tyler Cole🌵 (@ArizonaWildbags) February 2, 2024

Second half of the Arizona game actively going on as Pac-12 Network has "technical difficulties" up while running video packages. It's a blowout but goodness gracious.

The PAC-12 Network is having technical difficulties, meaning the Arizona game is not on TV.@Big12Conference, you guys have early admission?

Hey Pac-12 Network, for the next game, try blowing into the cartridge first.

Pac-12 Network's future
This isn't the first time the network has had incidents that affected fans ability to watch the game, nor will it be the last, but Arizona fans were in a particularly bitter mood about it during the void in coverage Thursday.
Enjoy having the network while it lasts, however, because it won't be around much longer with all but two Pac-12 Conference teams set to join other conferences beginning in the upcoming football season.
Pac-12 fans will then have to complain about Big 12, Big Ten and ACC television coverage.
That probably won't take too much getting used to it, too.
