OU football head coach Brent Venables' wife, Julie, shared a positive health update on Tuesday.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in June, Julie says she now has "zero cancer" and feels great. She also thanked OU's fans for their support.

“I’m doing routine blood screenings, but right now there’s zero cancer,” Julie Venables told The Oklahoman.

Brent and Julie Venables have been married since 1997. They have four children including a daughter, Laney, who's a freshman starter for the Community Christian girls basketball team.

Laney helped lead Community Christian to a 45-37 win over Roland in the Class 3A girls state basketball quarterfinals on Tuesday. Julie was scheduled to have her blood drawn later that day, but first she got to attend Laney's game alongside her husband.

“It’s still stressful, but it’s a little more relaxing than his games,” Julie said with a nod toward Brent. “It’s fun. It’s a different speed, for sure.”
