OXFORD — Ole Miss basketball will be out for some revenge when it hosts Auburn on Saturday in its first SEC rematch of the season.
Chris Beard's team took an 82-59 drubbing from the Tigers on Jan. 20 on The Plains. Now, the Rebels (18-3, 5-3) get another shot at Bruce Pearl's Auburn squad (17-4, 6-2) at the SJB Pavilion, where they're unbeaten this season.
The fortunes have flipped for these two teams since their first meeting. No. 16 Auburn has lost two of its past three, dropping decisions to Alabama and Mississippi State before rebounding to beat floundering Vanderbilt.
Ole Miss has won three straight, most recently beating rival Mississippi State in an 86-82 thriller.
