Oklahoma Sooners are ‘ready’ for their next big challenge against the Arkansas Razorbacks

The Oklahoma Sooners men’s basketball team is looking to get some revenge on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. The Sooners and the Razorbacks faced off last year in Tulsa where Oklahoma lost 88-78.

That was a very good Arkansas team that was ranked in the top 10 when those two teams met. Otega Oweh, who is currently the team’s leading scorer, didn’t get any minutes in that game a year ago as a true freshman.

He talked to reporters about what he remembers about the game. “The atmosphere was obviously crazy,” Oweh said. “It was packed out with a lot of Arkansas fans. High-intensity game. It’s something we’re excited for and ready for, obviously.”

While this is a totally different Oklahoma team, it’s also a different Arkansas team this season. Only three of the eight players who saw any minutes for Arkansas during that game are still on the team. Only one of those three started in that game. One of the other ones played only three minutes.

For Oklahoma, only two of the nine players that saw minutes a year ago are still on the team. Milos Uzan started in that game and Sam Godwin played 16 minutes.

So, this will be a lot different than what we saw a year ago, but as Oweh mentioned, last year, even though it was in Oklahoma, it sounded more like an Arkansas home game. But this time, the roles are flipped. Oklahoma is the ranked team. So, will the crowd be flipped? I guess we’ll find out.
