Oklahoma softball draws No. 2 overall seed in 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament | Social media reactions
Oklahoma softball is ready to attempt a historic fourth straight NCAA softball national championship in the Women's College World Series.
The Sooners, which defeated rival Texas in the Big 12 softball championship, drew the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament when the brackets were released during Sunday's selection show. Coach Patty Gasso and Oklahoma (49-6) will open up their title defense by hosting Cleveland State, Oregon and Boston in the Norman Regional.

With the Ducks coming to town for the regional, it will mark the return of Melyssa Lombardi, who became the Oregon coach in 2018 following a 21-year tenure on at Oklahoma under Gasso, including the final 11 seasons as associate head coach.
