Oklahoma RB Rodney Anderson passes polygraph regarding rape accusation

Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson passed a polygraph test Tuesday after a woman accused him of rape.

According to the Oklahoman, the test was taken after a request from Anderson’s attorney.

“Anderson denied the allegations,” the polygraph examiner reported Thursday. “He was not practicing deception in his replies to relevant questions asked of him on this test.”

A woman filed for and obtained a protection order against Anderson on Monday because she was scared for her safety, saying Anderson knew where she lived.

Anderson has not been charged with a crime. The Norman, Oklahoma, police department is investigating the accusation.

The woman said in her statement she met Anderson on the night of Nov. 16 and “All I remembered from the night was kissing him and vomiting for about 20 minutes. This past weekend, I was talking to a friend about the night and started recalling images and feelings of him forcing his fingers into my vagina and feeling sick, him biting me and me not feeling like I could say anything, and trying to get away from him to put clothes on.”

Anderson’s attorney claims the woman accused Anderson of rape after he rejected invitations from her to go out in the time since the alleged incident. The woman said the incident happened after she and Anderson went to a second bar that evening and he took her home. She said she woke up without clothing after the two had consensually been kissing.

The sophomore running back is Oklahoma’s leading rusher. He’s rushed for 960 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2017 and has 283 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. The Sooners ranked No. 2, play No. 3 Georgia on Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl, a College Football Playoff semifinal.
