Ohio State women's basketball adds Kentucky transfer Kennedy Cambridge

Ohio State women's basketball is not done adding to its roster.

After adding former Duke guard and Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year Celeste Taylor and Michigan State forward Taiyier Parks from the transfer portal, former Kentucky guard Kennedy Cambridge announced Wednesday that she was joining the Buckeyes for the 2023-24 season.

Cambridge played in 19 games for the Wildcats in 2022-23, starting once. She recorded 2.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 48.8% from the field.

Cambridge was a four-star prospect and ranked as the 36th best guard in the 2022 class out of Nashville, Tennessee. At Ensworth High School, she averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game.

Ohio State is expected to return guard/forward Taylor Thierry and forward Cotie McMahon for the 2023-24 season along with guard Jacy Sheldon.
