That day marked the last time Ohio State lost to Michigan in football.

The 40-34 loss was the end of a tumultuous season for the Buckeyes. It began when head coach Jim Tressel resigned after an investigation into improper benefits. The Buckeyes ended with their first non-winning season since 1999 and their sixth non-winning season since World War II in Big Ten play under interim head coach Luke Fickell and lost the 2012 Gator Bowl to Florida.

It has been a while since Nov. 26, 2011.
