Ohio State football loses running back Miyan Williams for remainder of season

This was not the news any Ohio State Football fan wanted to hear: Running back Miyan Williams is out for the rest of the season due to an injury.

The junior back has been used sparingly this season, rushing for 158 yards and 3 touchdowns on 49 carries. He added 4 catches for 42 yards. The Buckeyes lose a depth piece behind TreVeyon Henderson, who has battled injuries throughout his career.

Chip Trayanum has emerged as the Henderson’s backup, but he also has battled some health issues this season. The question now is how much run will Dallan Hayden get now that Williams has been shut down for the year.

The good news is there is depth at running back, but losing a quality contributor will certainly hurt Ohio State.
