Ohio State defensive end target cancels visit, will choose from three schools

It seemed like the stars had aligned with defensive end Elias Rudolph to return back to Ohio and play his college football for Ohio State after transferring to Deerfield Beach High School in Florida to finish his prep career.

The 6-foot, 4-inch and 205 edge rusher had set up an official visit to Columbus for this coming weekend, but that has been canceled as Rudolph announced the news on twitter.

Instead the 20th rated edge and 256th overall player according to the 247Sports composite will select from three schools: Michigan, Miami and Pittsburgh.

Although it may seem like a loss, the Buckeyes hosted multiple high level players at the same position as Rudolph over the past few weekends (Eddrick Houston and Marquise Lightfoot) and it seems like they’re higher on the Buckeye recruiting board than the former Ohioan.
