Oblivious Bears fans block serviceman's Jumbotron proposal
Some people just don’t get it.
The Chicago Bears hosted the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field over Veterans Day weekend and one U.S. serviceman was ready to make it extra special by proposing to his girlfriend at the game.
The Jumbotron “Bear Hug Cam” was in place and ready with the Bruno Mars’ hit “Marry You” while the serviceman shocked his girlfriend by getting down on one knee.
What exactly happened directly after that, we can’t be sure.
The gentleman behind the couple realizes what’s going on, and gestures to the man two seats away to watch the special moment. The four guys in front of the couple had no such awareness and were excited to see their own faces on the big screen.

Though the men never stopped waving at themselves and Chicago faithful, the camera got a glimpse of her waving her ring-adorned hand and the celebratory kiss.
These enthusiastic Chicago faithful took the lyrics “it’s a beautiful night/We’re looking for something dumb to do” a little too seriously. I doubt they’re invited to the wedding unless it’s with standing room only invites.
