By the numbers: Texas lets their play on the field do the talking in 26-16 win over Iowa State
It would have been just another game for Texas until Iowa State’s Jarrod Hufford made it personal.
Hufford made several outlandish claims to the media during the week, including Texas not being prepared and having a large ego.
Texas now has more wins on the season than Iowa State had rushing yards on Saturday, and that’s what happens when you give one of the best defensive lines in the country bulletin board material.
Despite starting the first half slow, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns managed to make halftime adjustments to get the offense rolling, putting up 20 points in the second half.
This was an impressive victory for the team and will greatly benefit them as they head into Senior Night on Friday, where they have unfinished business with Texas Tech to close out the regular season.
