Nolensville pulls off game-tying trick play in LLWS elimination game vs. California

A trick play evened Nolensville's Little League World Series game against El Segundo, California in the elimination round after Corbin Cyphers stole home in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 3-3 Wednesday at Lamade Stadium.

Nolensville's Carter Gomillion wandered off first base after a called strike, drawing the attention of El Segundo and a throw from the California catcher. Meanwhile, Cyphers broke for home and slid under the tag to tie it.

Nolensville planned a similiar play in Tuesday's win over Nevada with Stella Weaver occupying third base and Gideon Shepler standing at first. The pitch was thrown and Shepler fell down but the pitch skipped past Nevada's catcher, allowing Weaver an easy path to home plate and Nolensville a 2-0 lead.

This time, the similiar play worked to perfection as Gomillion broke for second base, allowing Cyhers to score.
