No breaks: Tuesday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes

They certainly aren't on vacation. These Fantastic Five MetroWest and Milford-are high school athletes are taking advantage of a week with no classes to take their opponents to school.

They keyed comebacks, hit milestones, authored dramatic finishes and exerted their wills.

Without further ado, the MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes from Tuesday, April 16th's action:

KELSEY BLANCHETTE, Lincoln-Sudbury softball

She was 2-for-4 with an RBI and struck out nine in 3 ⅔ relief innings, as the Warriors rallied for an 8-7 win over Hopkinton on Tuesday. Grace Messina homered and had two RBIs, two walks and scored two runs for L-S (4-0). Ashleigh Lent brought the Warriors within a run with a two-run line drive to center field in the sixth.

GRACE CHIOTA, Algonquin girls lacrosse

She accumulated eight points with six goals and two assists in an 11-10 win over North Middlesex. That included the go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter. Chiota also notched her 100th career point. Bella Roman scored four goals with two assists for Algonquin (2-2).

JACK GULACHENSKI, Algonquin boys lacrosse

He fired in four goals with an assist for the Titans in an 11-10 win over North Middlesex. Ben Yosca collected a hat trick with an assist, and Declan Mulkerin put up two goals and two assists for Algonquin (4-1).

LAYLA HUNTLEY, Hopedale softball

She launched a two-run homer for the Blue Raiders, who stayed unbeaten with a 10-9 walk-off win over Millis. Lizzie Brytowski struck out 15 and was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two walks for Hopedale (4-0). Hopedale's Delany Vaillette added two RBIs. Riley Caulfield and Molly Rand collected two hits each for Millis.

RYAN McCAUSLAND, Wellesley baseball

He threw five shutout innings and allowed just one hit in a 10-0 win against Concord-Carlisle. He also doubled twice with two RBIs for the Raiders (3-1).

Baseball

MARLBOROUGH 7, Hudson 3: Jack Cincotta drove in three runs on two hits, including a double for the Panthers (4-2) in the semifinals of the John Ahearn tournament. Marlborough's Ryan Dillon doubled twice and had two RBIs. Tyler Moore didn't allow an earned run and truck out nine in a complete game for Marlborough, allowing just two hits. Chris Aucoin struck out three in six innings and allowed two runs for the Hawks (2-2) Hudson's Braeden Murphy walked and added a hit.

TAHANTO 5, Assabet 3: Andrew Talmo doubled with an RBI for Assabet (0-4).

KEEFE TECH 14, Muniz Academy 4 (5): Jaxson Fertel and Jake Lynch each hit a single, a double and three RBIs for the Broncos (1-2).

HOPEDALE 7, Bourne 2: Brady Wajda doubled with two RBIs and sored a run for the Blue Raiders (4-1) in a win over the defending Division 5 state champions. Hopedale's Noah Smith (double) and Nathan Montville each had an RBI and scored two runs, while Evan McCall drove in a run and scored one. Will Adamski earned the win after five strong innings.

Three of a kind: Aces will lead Holliston baseball on and off the mound

FRAMINGHAM 6, Holliston 1: JJ Blanchard had a hit and an RBI for the Flyers, and he threw three innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts. Framingham's Jackson Donato and Franco Saglimbeni (hit) each drove in one run, while Lucas Messer had a double. Holliston's Drew Kafka had two hits and scored a run, while Brad Andreola collected a hit. Logan Brewster threw four innings of shutout relief for the Panthers, allowing just a hit and a walk.

BELLINGHAM 2, Bishop Feehan 1: Ben Maiorano had two hits and an RBI for the Blackhawks (3-2). Bellingham pitchers Jack Hildred, Alex Hughes and Tyler Ladouceur allowed just one hit.

Softball

FRANKLIN TECH 7, Blackstone Valley Tech 3: Lynsey Kay, Brooke Gniadek and Arihana Mercado had a hit each for the Beavers (2-2).

SHEPHERD HILL 14, Algonquin 1: Jessilyn Baez drove in Cassie Hodge in the second inning for the Titans (1-2, 0-2 Mid-Wach B).

HUDSON 6, Shrewsbury 2: Samantha Collette (solo homer) and Livi Sousa (double, triple, RBI) each had two hits for the Hawks (4-0, 1-0 Mid-Wach A)  in the Sheryl Jones Tournament semifinals. Hudson's Lauren O'Maley drove in two runs. Taylor Attaway struck out five and allowed just two runs with one walk to earn the win.

Boys lacrosse

FRANKLIN 18, Wakefield 1: Dylan McEvoy corralled five goals and two assists for the Panthers (5-0). Franklin's CJ Perro contributed four goals.

Girls lacrosse

NIPMUC 18, Auburn 2: Fallon Lozano pumped in six goals for the Warriors (3-1, 3-0 Mid-Mass). Nipmuc's Liz Lange contributed four goals.

Boys volleyball

MARLBOROUGH 3, North Middlesex 0: Declan McCarthy put down eight kills for the Panthers. McCarthy also had two blocks and two aces for Marlborough (7-1) in the (25-21, 26-24, 27-25 victory.

NATICK 3, St. John's (Shrewsbury) 0: Cody Gibendi put down 15 kills for the Redhawks (5-1).

Girls tennis

HOPEDALE 4, Auburn 1: Maddison Buttonow led the Blue Raiders (2-0) with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles against Ella Pitro, while Kate Friesema bested Erin Bjorkman 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Hopedale's No. 2 singles player Sidney Hall won 6-1, 6-2 against Maggie Slomski. The Blue raiders' No. 1 doubles pair of Abbie Aldrich and Callie Costanza prevailed 6-1, 6-2 over Nicole Gallant and Danielle Treadwell.
