No. 6 Tennessee, or at least No. 6 for now, has had a week to forget.

Three days after losing to Vanderbilt on a wild buzzer-beater, the Volunteers fell to Missouri on yet another wild buzzer-beater, this time a 3-pointer from DeAndre Gholston in an 86-85 loss.

Somehow, that clip isn't even the extent of the pain for the Volunteers, who were leading 85-83 and were shooting free throws with four seconds left. After Santiago Vescovi missed the first free throw, Tobe Awaka was called for a lane violation on the second, opening the door for Missouri to get the win.

Gholston finished the game with 18 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range.

Gholston's shot was even more wild than the Tyrin Lawrence shot that sank Tennessee on Wednesday, as Vanderbilt at least had the ball advanced and managed to set up a drive and kick out for the win. Gholston had to run down half the court and still released the ball while even with the logo.

The loss knocks Tennessee's record down to 19-6 (8-4 in SEC play). It's the Volunteers' third loss in their last four games, but at least the other loss came via a mere second-half surge by Florida last week. At the time of that loss, they were ranked second in the country.
