Night 2 of Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek cancelled due to rain

Sep. 22—SPRING VALLEY — Night 2 of the 25th annual Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek Speedway has been cancelled due to rain the track announced late Friday evening.

According to the Deer Creek Speedway Facebook page, post-race festivities are still scheduled in the forms of 'The Dweebs' with complimentary drinks and pulled pork sandwiches.

The racing action will pick up again Saturday in the forms of Night 3 of the Fall Jamboree with the USMTS Modifieds racing for a first-place prize of $12,000 as the headliner.

Gates are set to open up at 2 p.m. with time trials to begin at 5:20.

Happy, Texas driver and track veteran Rodney Sanders won the main event Thursday on Night 1.

The rain also wiped out the season finale at Chateau Speedway as well, which would have saw the 'Stock Car Shootout' $1000 to win special, in addition to USRA Hobby Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Mods and Hornets at Lansing.

However, track officials decided to reschedule the season finale for 2 p.m. Sunday.
