Week 6 has a bunch of mismatches on paper heading, with the best game on the schedule featuring a return of one of the most beloved uniforms in league history.

The Thursday Night Football matchup has the potential to be brutal. The Broncos can’t stop anyone, and the Chiefs can’t be stopped by anyone. Prediction: Chiefs 45, Broncos 10

14. Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears

The bottom teams in the NFC North meet. Justin Jefferson is out. What a dreary game. Prediction: Bears 24, Vikings 21

13. New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders

Did anyone think that both coaches could be on the hot seat coming into this game? Bill Belichick isn’t exactly on the hot seat. He’s just disappointed. Josh McDaniels will likely want to hitch a ride back to Foxborough on the team plane for NE. Prediction: Patriots 16, Raiders 13

12. Washington Commanders at Atlanta Falcons

This game doesn’t stir much interest outside of the respective markets for each team. The Falcons are 3-0 at home. The Commanders are coming off a horrendous effort against Chicago. Prediction: Falcons 20, Commanders 16

11. Philadelphia Eagles at New York Jets

The Eagles being undefeated is not enough to make this one a feature attraction. Prediction: Eagles 30, Jets 10

10. Carolina Panthers at Miami Dolphins

A team that has no offense against one that is high-powered. The Dolphins should be able to rest their stars in the second half after destroying the Panthers. Prediction: Dolphins 45, Panthers 17

9. Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams

The Rams catch what should be a breather on their schedule. Don’t take Arizona too lightly, though. The Cardinals can menace for a portion of the game. In the end, though … Prediction: Rams 27, Cardinals 20

8. New York Giants at Buffalo Bills

Another game that appears to be a contender against a tomato can, per boxing vernacular. This game actually gets an SNF national audience. Ouch. Prediction: Bills 38, Giants 13

7. Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Chargers

The Cowboys are rewarded with another West Coast game after being shellacked by the San Francisco 49ers. The Bolts come off a bye and can’t be relied on for much other than multiple erratic decisions. Prediction: Cowboys 27, Chargers 24

6. New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans

The Texans look to rebound off a tough loss to Atlanta against another NFC South team.  C.J. Stroud attempts to keep his record clean of not throwing a pick. The Saints get another road game after clobbering the Patriots. This will be more of a test. Prediction: Texans 23, Saints 20

5. Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars

Did anyone figure the Colts would come into this one tied for first with Jacksonville? Anthony Richardson keeps getting banged up so it is a good thing Gardner Minshew is a dependable backup. The Jaguars are set to pounce off wins in London. Prediction: Jaguars 27, Colts 24

4. Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals

This is a fascinating matchup. The Seahawks are coming off a bye and on a three-game winning streak. The Bengals have not looked like the team we have come to expect in the past couple of years. Prediction: Seahawks 27, Bengals 23

3. San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns

The 49ers roll into Cleveland off a big win against Dallas. Time for a letdown? If Deshaun Watson is unable to go for the Browns, this could be ugly. If he can play, it could be intriguing. Prediction: 49ers 30, Browns 17

2. Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans

Another game in the International Series and this is key for both teams. The Titans don’t want to fall two games off the division lead. The Ravens found a way to lose to the Steelers after leading most of the way. Prediction: Titans 22, Ravens 19

1. Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This isn’t a mistake. The Lions at the Buccaneers is the top game of the week. That is why it was shifted out of the early afternoon window to the later start.  Detroit is a lot of fun and Tampa Bay is off a bye and on a fast start. Prediction: This is a tossup.
