NFL mock draft: Arizona Cardinals have options with second first-round 2024 NFL draft pick

The Arizona Cardinals currently hold two picks in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, their own pick at No. 4 and the Houston Texans' pick at No. 27, which it acquired in a trade last year.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has been linked to Arizona in a lot of recent NFL mock draft projections with the team's first pick, but who could the team acquire with that No. 27 selection?

Here's a look at some recent 2024 NFL draft projection for the Cardinals with the pick, with offensive linemen, edge rushers and cornerbacks being popular selections.

The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27, with the first round on April 25.

The Draft Network: Cardinals draft Duke OL Graham Barton at No. 27

Brentley Weissman writes: "Arizona must continue to build around Kyler Murray and giving him a weapon like Marvin Harrison Jr. with their first pick and then coming back and adding an elite blocker in Graham Barton certainly does the trick. Barton can play anywhere on the offensive line and will certainly carve out a role as a rookie."

CBS Sports: Arizona takes Washington edge Bralen Trice at No. 27

Josh Edwards writes: "The play of Arizona has fans optimistic despite roster inefficiencies. Jonathan Gannon comes from Philadelphia, where the second string defensive line was better than the Cardinals starters. Gannon will want to throw some assets in that direction, and Bralen Trice is a good start."

Pro Football Network: Cardinals land Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry at No. 27

Ian Cummings writes: "The Cardinals had a lot of rookie talent wrapped up at CB in 2023. Some could become starters, but that shouldn’t stop them from adding a CB1 candidate in Kool-Aid McKinstry. At 6’1″, 190 pounds, McKinstry has the size, length, and athleticism to hold his own against NFL athletes, and he’s a technician with swarming ball skills and physicality."

NFL.com: Arizona chooses Iowa CB Cooper DeJean at No. 27

Daniel Jeremiah writes: "The Cardinals can take the best player available with their second pick in Round 1. DeJean has the versatility to play any position in the secondary."

The Sporting News: Cardinals end up with Penn State CB Kalen King at No. 27

Vinnie Iyer writes: "The Cardinals need to keep addressing their secondary away from young Garrett Williams. King would be a good get for defensive-minded coach Jonathan Gannon, flashing some dynamic on-ball skills to help a budding pass rush."

Sportsnaut: Cardinals opt for Penn State edge Chop Robinson at No. 27

Andrew Buller-Russ writes: "Dennis Gardeck led the Arizona Cardinals in sacks this past season, and he only had six all year. You don’t need a calculator to know that’s not nearly enough pressure. After getting Kyler Murray a star wideout earlier, the Cardinals need to get their defensive-minded head coach some more talent, and Chop Robinson has double-digit sack potential in his future."
