NFL in London highlights: Catch up on all the big moments from Jaguars' win over Bills

For the second consecutive week, the NFL’s Sunday slate started with an International Series game, and the Jacksonville Jaguars got Week 5 rolling with an impressive 25-20 win against the Buffalo Bills.

After beating the Atlanta Falcons during Week 4 in Wembley Stadium in London, the Jaguars (3-2) remained overseas to prepare for a much bigger test in the Buffalo Bills (3-2). It was the Bills' first loss since falling in their season-opener against the New York Jets.

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. had two touchdown runs and 136 yards rushing, Calvin Ridley had 122 yards receiving, and Trevor Lawrence was 25 of 37 for 315 yards and a touchdown to receiver Zay Jones.

Bills-Jaguars final score

Buffalo’s hook and ladder failed and Jacksonville held on for a 25-20 victory giving the Bills their second loss of the season.

Josh Allen found Stefon Diggs for a 16-yard completion, but his pitch to James Cook hit the deck and Jaguars defender Travon Walker recovered it.

The Jaguars won for the second consecutive week in London, staying in town after beating the Falcons last week.

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. had two touchdown runs and 136 yards rushing, Calvin Ridley had 122 yards receiving, and Trevor Lawrence was 25 of 37 for 315 yards and a touchdown to receiver Zay Jones to lead Jacksonville.

Bills score: Josh Allen touchdown

The Bills aren’t going away just yet.

Josh Allen scored a 4-yard touchdown run, and Buffalo is down by five with 2:11 left.

Talk about a quick response.

Allen’s 43-yard pass to Deonte Harty and 29-yard pass to receiver Gabe Davis put Buffalo at the Jaguars 3-yard line in a heartbeat to set up the score.

Jaguars score: Travis Etienne Jr. another touchdown

Jacksonville responded to Buffalo’s scoring drive with one of its own. And that might do it in London.

Travis Etienne Jr.’s 35-yard touchdown run gives the Jaguars a 25-13 lead over the Bills with 2:56 left.

Trevor Lawrence found receiver Calvin Ridley down the sideline for a 32-yard connection on third down to put the Jaguars in ideal position.

Jacksonville, which stayed the week in London after beating the Atlanta Falcons last week, could improve to 3-2. The Bills might suffer their first loss since Week 1 against the New York Jets. — Safid Deen

Bills score: Gabe Davis touchdown

Buffalo has closed within 18-13 after a Gabe Davis touchdown reception, but do the Bills have enough time left?

Josh Allen ran to his left and threw a touchdown pass to Davis to narrow Buffalo’s deficit, but was unable to convert the two-point conversion to trim Jacksonville’s lead to 3.

The Bills nearly converted with Allen finding Davis in the end zone, but an offensive pass interference call on Stefon Diggs took those points off the board.

On their next attempt, Allen found Khalil Shakir in the flat, but he was unable to break the tackle.

So, the Jaguars' lead is five points instead of three.

But Buffalo’s touchdown might not have happened without a crucial roughing the passer penalty. Allen, the Bills quarterback, was hit by Josh Allen, the Jaguars edge rusher, as their helmets collided during a tackle, extending Buffalo’s drive. — Safid Deen

Jaguars score: Travis Etienne Jr. touchdown

Jacksonville cashed in the end zone.

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. found the edge, and scored a 6-yard touchdown run to help Jacksonville take an 18-7 lead on Buffalo with 7:44 left.

The Jaguars' drive was 10 plays for 93 yards, following an interception by Bills quarterback Josh Allen on the previous drive.

Bills safety Taron Johnson was called for pass interference on Jaguars receiver Christian Kirk during the drive, while Etienne also had runs of 10 and 11 yards before his touchdown run. — Safid Deen

Jaguars intercept Bills' Josh Allen

Bad Josh Allen just showed up in London.

Five plays after the Bills recovered a fumble by Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Allen, Buffalo's quarterback, threw an interception to Jacksonville defender Darious Williams to kill the Bills' momentum.

Stefon Diggs was Allen’s intended target.

Bills force another Trevor Lawrence fumble

The Bills defense is getting home, and the Jaguars squandered another opportunity to score.

Trevor Lawrence fumbled after being sacked by Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver inside the red zone at the start of the fourth quarter. And the momentum is back in Buffalo’s favor.

Bills-Jaguars halftime score

Jacksonville leads 11-7 at halftime.

Buffalo avoided falling further behind after forcing the Jacksonville turnover with 17 seconds left in the half. It was the only turnover of the first half.

The Jaguars have outgained the Bills 232-139, led by Trevor Lawrence's 192 passing yards. Josh Allen is 13 for 18 passing for 116 yards for the Bills. — Casey Moore

Bills force Jaguars turnover

Following Buffalo's touchdown, Jacksonville put together a drive to the Bills' 12 yard-line behind five completions for 63 yards by quarterback Trevor Lawrence. But on a third-and-2 play, Lawrence was sacked by defensive end A.J. Epenesa, who also forced and recovered a fumble by the Jaguars quarterback. — Casey Moore

Bills score: Stefon Diggs touchdown

The Bills got on the scoreboard just before halftime.

Stefon Diggs caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to get the Bills on the board with 1:14 left in the first half.

Allen’s pass was elite, and Diggs celebrated by doing Cristiano Ronalo’s 'SIU' celebration after the score.

The drive was highlighted by Allen, the Bills quarterback, outrunning Josh Allen, the Jaguars edge rusher, to convert a first down just before the two-minute warning. — Safid Deen

Did Josh Allen yell 'LeBron James'?

Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a unique audible during the last drive before halftime.

"LeBron James," Allen yelled out to his offensive line before a play.

We’ve heard Peyton Manning’s famous "Omaha" audible. But this is a new one, and James quickly made a comment on social media. — Safid Deen

Bills offense struggling mightily

The Bills have had four possessions against the Jaguars and they've all ended the same way: with a punt.

Buffalo has zero points, two first downs and 54 total yards against the Jacksonville defense. The Bills came into the game as the NFL's No. 2 scoring offense, having scored at least 37 points in each of their past three games – all victories. — Casey Moore

Jaguars score: Brandon McManus field goal

Well, this is an awkward score.

Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus kicked a 44-yard field goal to take a 11-0 lead with 1:13 left in the first quarter. But it left Bills coach Sean McDermott clapping to encourage his players despite their deficit in the first quarter.

The Bills got a big time stop from defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who was terrible for them on the first touchdown allowed earlier in the quarter. Oliver had a tackle in the backfield on Jaguars running back Travis Etienne to stop the drive.

The Bills got a first down in the final minute of the first quarter, and have their first scoreless first quarter of the season. — Safid Deen

Bills injuries mounting

In addition to Milano, the Bills have had DaQuan Jones, Leonard Floyd and Kingsley Jonathan walk off the field with injuries. Jones is listed as doubtful with a pec injury. — Scott Boeck

Jaguars score: Zay Jones touchdown

The Jaguars are on the board first in London.

Trevor Lawrence’s 6-yard touchdown pass to receiver Zay Jones gives the Jaguars an early 7-0 lead over the Bills.

Jones caught the pass at its high point, and stayed inbounds for the score.

Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who was penalized on third-and-6 for hands to the face to extend Jacksonville’s drive, also had a roughing the passer penalty on the touchdown pass, putting the ball on the 1-yard line for the extra-point attempt.

So, the Jaguars tossed the football to running back Travis Etienne Jr., who scored the two-point conversion. — Safid Deen

Bills' Matt Milano injured

Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano, one of the team's most important leaders, had his right leg rolled up on during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Milano was taken off the field with the help of two trainers before being carted to the locker room with a full cast from shin to thigh. Shortly after, he was ruled out for the rest of the game. — Safid Deen

Bills Mafia showing up in London

Today's game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London is a 'home' game for the Bills. And not surprisingly, Bills Mafia has taken over the stadium.

For the Jaguars, this is the second consecutive week they have played in London – they defeated the Atlanta Falcons 23-7 at Wembley Stadium in Week 4. — Scott Boeck

Is Von Miller playing for Bills?

Buffalo Bills veteran linebacker Von Miller was activated off the physically unable to perform list on Saturday and is likely to make his season debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Miller said Friday he was 94.5% sure that he would be playing Sunday.

"I think that’s a safe bet," he said. "It’s been a long road. Long road to recovery. I’ve had two really good practices. Had a really good practice today. I think it’s a safe bet that I’ll be out there."

Miller is coming off a right ACL injury suffered last Thanksgiving. The injury required surgery, the second ACL operation of his career. — Casey Moore

Bills-Dolphins: Buffalo made major statement in Week 4 rout

Now is not the time to declare the Buffalo Bills as destined to finally get over the hump this season and fulfill their promise for a Super Bowl mission.

As much a 48-20 beatdown of the Miami Dolphins last week have provided a glimpse of that – Josh Allen was amazing, Stefon Diggs was incredible, Sean McDermott’s defense was spectacular – it’s way too early to predict what will happen in January and February.

Yet it’s not too early to declare this: The Bills are still very much the kings of the AFC East.
