NFL Free Agency: Miami Dolphins add Anthony Walker, Jordyn Brooks

The Dolphins added two linebackers in free agency on Monday.

Miami is signing Anthony Walker from Cleveland and Jordyn Brooks from Seattle.

Walker was Pro Football Focus’ 31st-ranked linebacker in 2023.

He scored higher in pass coverage than run defense or pass rush.

Walker, 28, is a Miami native who played at Monsignor Pace and also Northwestern University.

Walker started 12 games last season for Cleveland. He was once a fifth-round pick of the Colts.

Walker has topped 100 tackles three times. He has 4.5 career sacks.

Brooks was PFF’s 68th-graded linebacker for 2023.

Brooks graded higher as a pass rusher than as a run defender.

Brooks, 26, is a former first rounder from Texas Tech.

Brooks had a career-high 4.5 sacks w Seattle last year. He had two sacks in prior three years.

Brooks has posted more than 100 tackles for three straight years.

Miami needs linebackers to fill the void of volume tackler Jerome Baker, who was cut for salary reasons.
