NFL Draft 2022: Georgia sets record with 15 players picked
It's the final day of the 2022 NFL Draft. The fourth-seventh rounds will be held Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Follow for live updates from today's picks.
Georgia makes NFL Draft history
Georgia has made modern NFL Draft history.
The national champions had 15 players taken in this weekend's draft — the most by a team. That breaks the former record of 14 set by LSU in 2020 and Ohio State in 2004.
The draft started with edge rusher Travon Walker being picked first overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Others include: defensive tackle Jordan Davis (Eagles), linebacker Quay Walker (Packers), defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (Packers), defensive back Lewis Cine (Vikings), wide receiver George Pickens (Steelers), running back James Cook (Bills), linebacker Nakobe Dean (Eagles), linebacker Channing Tindall (Dolphins), running back Zamir White (Raiders), punter Jake Camarda (Buccaneers), offensive lineman Justin Shaffer (Falcons), offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer (Chargers), defensive back Derion Kendrick (Rams) and tight end John FitzPatrick (Falcons).
LSU has eight players pick in first 6 rounds from a 6-7 team
It was a heck of an NFL Draft 2022 weekend for LSU. Seven players were picked in the first six rounds.
Not bad for a team that went 6-6 during the season, then lost a bowl game. And that season cost coach Ed Orgeron his job.
Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. was the Tigers' top pick. He was picked by the Houston Texans third overall. Offensive lineman Ed Ingram was picked 59th by the Minnesota Vikings. Cordale Flott, a corner, was picked 81st by the New York Giants. Running back Ty Davis-Price was picked 93rd by the San Francisco 49ers.
Kicker Cade York was picked by the Cleveland Browns 124th pick and teammate Neil Farrell, a defensive lineman, was picked by the Las Vegas Raiders two picks later. And linebacker Damone Clark was picked by the Dallas Cowboys with the 176th pick.
Austin Deculus, an offensive tackle, was picked in the sixth round.
First HBCU player picked for NFL Draft 2022
Fayetteville State's Joshua Williams was the first HBCU player selected from the NFL Draft 2022. Williams is the school's first draft pick since 1976.
He was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round with the 135th overall selection. Williams, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound cornerback, had 34 tackles, two interceptions and 13 pass breakups this season.

Titans' Vrabel wearing a 'Run The Damn Ball' hat while picking Michigan's Hassan Hankins
If Mike Vrabel needed a reminder he has the best running back in the NFL, he wore a reminder during the final day of the NFL Draft 2022.
Vrabel wore a hate with the words "Run The Damn Ball" while he was drafting Michigan running back Hassan Haskins with the 131rd overall pick in the fourth round.
Haskins will join Derrick Henry in the backfield. He rushed for 1,327 yards with 20 touchdowns as the primary back for the Wolverines last season.

Two Ragin' Cajuns picked early in fourth round
Louisiana Lafayette had players picked nearly back-to-back in the fourth round with offensive tackle Max Mitchell was selected by the New York Jets with the 111th overall selection and teammate Percy Butler selected 113th overall by the Washington Commanders.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-6, 297-pound junior, was a third-team AP All-American and first-team Sun Belt All-Conference pick.
Butler, a 6-foot, 190-pound junior safety, had 61 tackles and was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection.
