NFA outlasts Wolcott Tech to win CVL boys volleyball title

The Norwich Free Academy boys volleyball team captured its first Connecticut Valley League championship with a thrilling 25-20, 28-30, 20-25, 28-26 and 15-5 win Thursday over defending champion Wolcott Tech at Sports Medicine and Sciences Academy in Hartford.

The Wildcats (17-4) were led by Alec Ferland (60 assists, 3 kills), Tyler McDermott (31 kills, 6 blocks 13 digs), Gage Hinkley (24 kills, 15 digs, 2 aces), Bryan Contreras (30 digs) and Keegan Johnston (11 kills, 14 digs).
