Watch: Boston College fan wins prize by sinking full-court putt

We’ve all seen the contests fans are pulled out out of the stands to play at basketball games. Sometimes it’s a progressive game: make a layup, then a free-throw, then a three-pointer, then a half-court shot in a certain amount of time to win a prize.

But this is a new one.

Boston College mixed sports during one timeout of the Eagles’ game against Columbia on Tuesday night, giving a fan a putter and putting him on one baseline.

A Boston College fan sank a 94-foot putt on the court to win a prize.

On the opposite baseline, 94 feet away, was a small gold box with a hole in front.

And the kid nailed it.

His prize, other than thousands of fans screaming at his achievement? $1,000 in Under Armour merchandise.

Not too shabby.

For the record, Boston College beat Columbia, 81-66.
