UFC on Fox 4 Delivers Good Attendance and Gate on Night of Exciting Fights

UFC on Fox 4 TV Ratings Up from UFC on Fox 3 While Going Head-to-Head with Olympics

UFC on Fox 4: Shogun vs. Vera – which took place on Saturday night in Los Angeles – delivered on many levels.

While UFC president Dana White is realistic in expecting amazing fights on every event, he often sweats the small stuff, just the same, especially when the fights are broadcast to a national audience on free television via Fox.

The fighters put on predominately strong performances on Saturday night, delivering a lot of excitement for viewers on television, as well as the fans in attendance at the Staples Center.

The fans in attendance, however, also delivered.

White announced at the post-fight press conference that UFC on Fox 4 showed up to the tune of 16,080 at the Staples Center, amassing a live gate of $1.1 million.

The attendance puts the event on par with UFC pay-per-view events, although the gate would fall towards the lower end of that spectrum. Both, however, are considered successes for an event that is primed for network television.
