The Ultimate Fighting Championship kicked off the first of three back-to-back-to-back live events on Thursday night with UFC Fight Night 90: dos Anjos vs. Alvarez.
Taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, UFC Fight Night 90 drew 7,760 in attendance for a live gate of $690,526.
The fight card was an exciting one, kicking off with five submission finishes in a row on the undercard.
But the night was topped off when Eddie Alvarez became the first fighter to win a UFC championship after having been a Bellator champion.
Alvarez has been considered one of the top lightweights in the world for years, but he put a stamp on that on Thursday night by taking out Rafael dos Anjos less than four minutes into their fight.
